There’s no free plan — here’s the cheapest way in

DeleteMe has no free plan or trial. The cheapest way in on 10/08/2026 was the 1-person, 1-year plan with a 20% code: JOINNOW, from DeleteMe’s email after the free scan, or SCAN20, from the scan result page. Each brought the checkout total to $103.20 for the first year. How the free scan works and what it shows is on the DeleteMe free scan page.

What you’ll actually pay at checkout

The checkout total for 1 person, 1 year was $129.00 on 10/08/2026. I entered a New York address (ZIP 10118), and no sales tax line appeared before the card step. The order summary said “One year of DeleteMe for 1 person. Renews annually.” It didn’t say what the renewal will cost. The terms printed under the form say the plan renews “at either the current or full retail rate.”

DeleteMe’s order summary: one year for one person, renews annually, with no renewal amount. My name, email and address are blurred. Screenshot taken on 10/08/2026

Two upsells sat in the cart: “Save $49, switch to 2 year plan” and “Save $29, add a family member.” To finish, you tick two required boxes, one of them reading “I agree to be charged now and upon each renewal until I cancel.” Payment is by card or Link. I saw no PayPal button.

What’s in the plan (and what isn’t)

  • Opt-out requests sent by DeleteMe staff to the sites marked Standard on its list: 91 domains on 10/08/2026
  • Four scans and four privacy reports a year
  • 40 custom removal requests a year
  • Up to six names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses on your datasheet
  • Masked email and masked phone in the dashboard, with each masked phone number at $7, per the help center
  • Not included: Premium’s extra 15 sites and 60 custom requests, VIP-only sites, international coverage

How to cancel DeleteMe

I couldn’t reach the cancellation screen, because DeleteMe opens an account only after payment. These are the steps from DeleteMe’s help center, updated 09/24/2026:

  1. Log in at joindeleteme.com.
  2. Click “Account” in the left navigation.
  3. Click “Billing & Subscriptions.”
  4. Switch “Renewal” from On to Off.

That stops the next charge but keeps your current term running, and DeleteMe says it emails a confirmation with your end date. To end the service right away, email support@joindeleteme.com or call 833-335-3836. According to the help center, the same Billing & Subscriptions page has a “Delete my account” button, which ends all subscriptions and deletes your data. I couldn’t check it without an account.

Refund policy

You get a full refund if you cancel before your first privacy report is complete, and a prorated refund for the unused time after that. That’s what the terms of service say (effective 10/26/2023), what the checkout page says, and what DeleteMe’s support told me by email on 10/08/2026. DeleteMe says the first report arrives about seven business days after sign-up. No day count is printed.

Other details for U.S. subscribers

What personal data they ask for — and how to delete it

DeleteMe asks for your full name, date of birth, current and past addresses, phone number and email, per its help center. It doesn’t ask for a Social Security number. Account deletion is under Billing & Subscriptions, and California residents can send a CCPA deletion request through a form.

Who can sign up (U.S. only, state limits, age)

These are U.S. plans in dollars, and the Premium card says “U.S. residents only.” DeleteMe sells separate international plans. I couldn’t find state limits or a minimum age on DeleteMe’s site on 10/08/2026.

Support: channels and hours (ET)

Phone and live chat run Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET, and email is answered at any time. My email on 10/08/2026 at 12:40 p.m. ET got a human reply about 6 minutes later.

What we saw inside the account

I couldn’t open a test account on 10/08/2026: DeleteMe creates the account only after payment. The dashboard is described in the DeleteMe review from DeleteMe’s help center and reviewers’ videos.

Is DeleteMe worth paying for?

At $129 for the first year, DeleteMe makes sense if you want staff to handle the common U.S. people-search sites and you’ll use the 40 custom requests. Use a 20% code for the first year, and note your renewal date, because the second year’s price isn’t shown at checkout. If you want to see results before paying anything, start with a service that has a free plan, such as Optery’s free plan, or compare the paid options in the data removal services ranking.

FAQ

How much does DeleteMe cost per year?

$129 a year for one person on 10/08/2026. Two years for one person cost $209, two people $229 a year, a family of four $329 a year, and the Premium plan for one person $180 a year. Prices verified on 10/08/2026 on DeleteMe’s site.

Does DeleteMe charge sales tax?

Not at the checkout I saw. On 10/08/2026, the total for 1 person, 1 year with a New York address was $129.00, with no tax line before the card step. Sales tax rules vary by state, and I checked only a New York address.

What’s the DeleteMe renewal price?

DeleteMe doesn’t print it before payment. The terms on the checkout page say the plan renews “at either the current or full retail rate.” If you used a coupon, expect the renewal at the full price, since the plans page calls the discounted price the price “for your first year.”

Does DeleteMe auto-renew?

Yes. The checkout has a required checkbox, “I agree to be charged now and upon each renewal until I cancel,” and the line under the button says, “Automatically renews until cancelled.” You can switch renewal off in your account.

Can I get a refund from DeleteMe?

Yes. You get a full refund if you cancel before your first privacy report is complete, and a prorated refund for the unused time after that. The terms, the checkout and DeleteMe’s support reply to me on 10/08/2026 all said the same.

How do I cancel DeleteMe?

According to DeleteMe’s help center, log in, click Account, open Billing & Subscriptions, and switch Renewal from On to Off. That stops the next charge. To end the service early, email support@joindeleteme.com or call 833-335-3836.
