How to Remove Yourself From ClustrMaps in 2026
Reviewed · Updated
Opt-out forms and policies change; we checked this one on 10/09/2026.
Quick answer: You can't opt out of ClustrMaps right now: on 10/09/2026 clustrmaps.com didn't load, and its domain pointed at 127.0.0.1. The last working Wayback Machine copy is from 05/18/2026. When the form worked it was free and asked only for an email and your listing URL. What's left is clearing stale search results and checking the sites that hold the same records.
What ClustrMaps showed about you (and where it got it)
ClustrMaps called itself a “Public Records Encyclopedia” and offered a free search of “200 million people in the United States” by name or address (homepage, Wayback Machine copy of 05/18/2026). It began in 2005 as a visitor-map widget for websites and added the people search later.
A person page listed your current address on a map, the HUD rent estimate for the ZIP code, other people tied to the address, and a phone number with its carrier. Paid “Ads by BeenVerified” and “Ads by TruthFinder” sat between the sections (person page, Wayback Machine copy of 02/27/2026).
Its FAQ named the sources: “Parcel and assessor records,” deeds, building permits, license records, corporate registrations, inspection results, SBA loan data and WHOIS records (FAQ, Wayback Machine copy of 02/16/2025). The terms of service credited “ClustrMaps Ltd.” under Florida law. The UK company of that name, number 05495444, was dissolved on 11/22/2016 (Companies House, checked 10/09/2026). ClustrMaps is not in the California Data Broker Registry for 2025 or 2026.
Step 1: Find your listing on clustrmaps.com
This is where my run stopped. On 10/09/2026 clustrmaps.com and www.clustrmaps.com refused to connect. The domain’s A record was 127.0.0.1 on three public resolvers (Cloudflare, Google, Quad9), which is the address of your own computer.
The Wayback Machine has a working homepage on 05/18/2026 and a registrar’s parking page from 07/14/2026 on. Redact.dev and OfflistMe both reported the site switched off on 09/25/2026.
If the site comes back, start from the search box at the top of any page. ClustrMaps’ FAQ said to type your name, pick it from the suggestions and open your address page. “At this time users cannot edit records,” so removal was the only fix for a wrong phone number too (FAQ, 02/16/2025). Don’t send personal details to an opt-out link from an old email or guide until the current site confirms it.
Step 2: Open the removal form
The form lived at clustrmaps.com/bl/opt-out, reached from the “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” link at the bottom of your listing. The FAQ showed that link as “Remove My Info,” and it passed your listing URL into the form for you.
What ClustrMaps asked for
In the Wayback Machine copy of 10/16/2025 the “Removal Request” form had one required field, “Your Email,” plus a hidden field with the listing URL and a “Next Step” button. The page’s code loaded a Cloudflare Turnstile human check. No account, no phone number, no SSN and no ID photo. The same page said to “send all other inquiries to support@clustrmaps.com.”
I couldn’t open the second screen: it was generated after you submitted an email. Guides by Optery (last modified 10/28/2025) and Incogni (updated 03/03/2025) describe it the same way. It listed the names and phone numbers on the record with checkboxes, and you clicked “Apply.” ClustrMaps’ FAQ described the same step. “Select your name, phone number, and other information you wish to have removed.”
Step 3: Confirm by email
The privacy policy (last updated 09/09/2024) accepted opt-outs only “directly from the individual whose information is being opted out.” ClustrMaps also “may require verification of identity before processing the request.” It did not accept requests by fax or mail. According to mePrism’s guide (05/2026), the form ended with a confirmation link sent to your email. I couldn’t verify that: nothing could be submitted on 10/09/2026.
The email route asked for more than the form. The policy told you to include “your name, address, phone number, and the listing’s URL (link)” when writing to support@clustrmaps.com. If you ever use it, give exactly what the listing already shows and nothing more.
Step 4: Wait and check again
ClustrMaps gave no waiting period. Its policy said online requests “are processed instantaneously” and counted 638,393 removal requests in 2023. The same policy added that “changes may not take effect immediately.” Third-party guides quoted 24 to 72 hours (mePrism) or 3 to 7 days (Clearnym, 07/31/2026). IDStrong said “up to two weeks before the record disappears from all searches.”
The check that still works is a search engine. Search your name with site:clustrmaps.com in Google, Bing or DuckDuckGo. On 10/09/2026 DuckDuckGo found nothing for my test identity, and the site was down, so a result today means a stale copy, not a live page.
To clear a stale result, ClustrMaps’ own FAQ pointed to Google’s Refresh Outdated Content tool. Submit the exact clustrmaps.com URL, choose that the content is gone, and enter a word that no longer appears on the page, such as your last name. The FAQ also linked Bing’s Content Removal Tool for the same job. Google’s help page says processing takes a few days.
Why your profile can come back (and what happened to the data)
Even when it worked, ClustrMaps’ policy was clear that removal was local. “We cannot remove any information about you from databases managed by third parties,” it said. After a request, “residual information may remain in our databases and records, which will not be removed or altered.” The policy also said “we have no control over public records.” It promised no complete removal.
The policy treated people-search data as public records: “state privacy laws do not apply to this information.” It also allowed the records to change hands in a sale, insolvency or receivership. Nothing public says what became of the database after the site went dark (Redact.dev, 09/25/2026). The public records it drew on are still on other people-search sites.
What owners report
The sample is small: three Trustpilot reviews, two status trackers and one guide citing Reddit, all from the last 12 months.
- Refused. A Trustpilot reviewer wrote on 12/30/2025 that ClustrMaps refused a removal “saying it doesn’t meet their guidelines.” Trustpilot showed 7 reviews and 2.3/5 on 10/09/2026.
- Dead links, live search results. Clearnym’s guide (07/31/2026) says Reddit users reported broken ClustrMaps links while Google still displayed their details. I couldn’t open Reddit from my connection to read the threads.
- Switched off. Redact.dev last saw the site working on 05/18/2026, saw a parking page by mid-July and marked it off on 09/25/2026, with the domain registered until 06/17/2027. OfflistMe reported it “unreachable” the same day.
Opt-out rights vary by state. California residents can send one free deletion request to registered data brokers through the state’s DROP platform. ClustrMaps isn’t in the California Data Broker Registry for 2025 or 2026, so DROP doesn’t reach it.
Opting out of sister sites
I found no second people-search brand run by ClustrMaps. Its widget privacy policy listed ua.clustrmaps.com and ru.clustrmaps.com, which served the visitor-map counter, not person records. What its listings did carry were paid links to BeenVerified and TruthFinder, which hold the same kind of records and have their own opt-outs.
When a removal service is cheaper than your time
A ClustrMaps opt-out was an email and two clicks. The work is the other sites with the same public records, and the rechecks every few months. On 10/09/2026, OneRep’s published list of sites covered on every plan still included clustrmaps.com, which means its scans would at least confirm the listing is gone. Our Data Removal Coverage Index counts every service’s list.
Create a free OneRep account to see where your name appears first. Removals start with a 5-day trial that needs a card, then $99.95/year for one person (checkout, 10/08/2026).
Two things to know. OneRep’s founder said in March 2024 that he still owned a stake in Nuwber, a people-search site. And Optery, a competitor, wrote in its OneRep review (last modified 07/24/2026) that OneRep kept affiliate partnerships with people-search sites including ClustrMaps. The OneRep review covers both.

If you’d rather use another service, this one also lists ClustrMaps:
| Service | ClustrMaps on its list | Cheapest plan that covers it | Checked on |
|---|---|---|---|
| OneRep | Yes, all plans | Individual, $99.95/year | 10/09/2026 |
| DeleteMe | Yes, Standard plan and above | Standard, $129/year | 10/09/2026 |
Prices are from each service’s checkout or pricing page on 10/08/2026, plus sales tax where it applies. Incogni and Optery did not list ClustrMaps on 10/08/2026, so neither gets a button here. To see what you get without paying, start with the Optery free plan or the best data removal services.

FAQ
Is the ClustrMaps opt-out free?
It was. The removal form at clustrmaps.com/bl/opt-out asked for no payment and no account: one required email field and the listing URL (Wayback Machine copy of 10/16/2025). On 10/09/2026 the site itself didn't load, so there is nothing to pay for and nothing to send.
Why won't clustrmaps.com open?
Because the domain no longer points at a server. On 10/09/2026 it resolved to 127.0.0.1 on three public DNS resolvers (Cloudflare, Google, Quad9), and Chrome said “refused to connect.” The last working copy in the Wayback Machine is from 05/18/2026; from 07/14/2026 the archive shows a registrar's parking page.
How long did ClustrMaps take to remove a listing?
Its privacy policy (last updated 09/09/2024) said online opt-outs “are processed instantaneously” and reported 638,393 removal requests in 2023, while warning that “changes may not take effect immediately.” Third-party guides quoted anything from 24 hours to two weeks. I couldn't time it myself: the site was offline on 10/09/2026.
Why does Google still show my ClustrMaps page?
Search engines keep old copies after a page disappears. ClustrMaps' own FAQ pointed to Google's outdated-content tool for this, and that tool still works for a dead site: submit the exact clustrmaps.com URL and the word that no longer appears, such as your last name. Google says processing takes a few days.
Did I have to give ClustrMaps my phone number?
Not on the web form. The archived form of 10/16/2025 had one required field, your email. The email route in the privacy policy asked for your name, address, phone number and the listing URL, so the form was the lighter option. Nothing asked for an SSN or an ID photo.
Does a removal service cover ClustrMaps?
On 10/09/2026 clustrmaps.com was on OneRep's published list for all plans and on DeleteMe's list for the Standard plan and above. Incogni's and Optery's published lists didn't include it on 10/08/2026. With the site offline, a service can only confirm there is nothing to remove.
