Norton's renewal list shows the same yearly prices at renewal. Prices verified on 10/08/2026 on LifeLock's site.

Prices verified on 10/08/2026 on LifeLock’s site.
The “16% OFF” label compares the yearly price with 12 monthly payments, per the plans page’s footnote. It isn’t a first-year discount.
Which plan is right for you
- You have a checking account and a few credit cards: Core at $124.99/year. It covers up to $25,000 in stolen funds.
- You hold more accounts and want higher limits: Advanced at $199.99/year, with up to $100,000 in stolen funds.
- You want the highest insurance limits: Total at $349.99/year, with up to $1,000,000 in stolen funds.
The limits come from the insurance Evidence of Coverage for events from 09/01/2026. They have exclusions, including a 90-day deadline to report a theft to LifeLock. This is not legal or financial advice.
LifeLock family plan
Family pricing is per plan, per Norton’s renewal price list on 10/08/2026:
| Plan | 2 adults | 2 adults + up to 10 kids |
|---|---|---|
| Core | $224.99/year | $344.99/year |
| Advanced | $359.99/year | $479.99/year |
| Total | $629.99/year | $749.99/year |
At checkout, a child can be added to an individual plan as LifeLock Junior for $65.99/year.
LifeLock Standard, Advantage and Ultimate Plus
These are LifeLock’s older plan names. The plans page on 10/08/2026 sold Core, Advanced, and Total instead. Norton’s renewal price list still showed LifeLock Standard at $124.99, LifeLock Advantage at $239.99, and LifeLock Ultimate Plus at $339.99 a year. If you have one of these, that list is where to check your renewal price.
There’s no free plan — here’s the cheapest way in
The cheapest way in is the 30-day free trial, which needs a credit or debit card. It turns into $124.99 for a year of Core on day 30 unless you cancel. The trial details are on the LifeLock free trial page.
What you’ll actually pay at checkout
On 10/08/2026 I opened the Core yearly checkout and stopped before paying. The order summary showed $124.99, “Tax May Apply,” and “Total Due Today: $124.99.” After I entered a New York ZIP code at the payment step, the tax line still read “May Apply.”
The renewal terms sat in a collapsed box. They say annual subscribers get an email with the renewal price before billing, and annual plans are billed up to 35 days before renewal. Payment options were credit card, PayPal, and Google Pay, all in dollars.
What’s in the plan (and what isn’t)
| Plan | Stolen funds | Expenses | Lawyers and experts |
|---|---|---|---|
| Core | up to $25,000 | up to $25,000 | up to $1,000,000 |
| Advanced | up to $100,000 | up to $100,000 | up to $1,000,000 |
| Total | up to $1,000,000 | up to $1,000,000 | up to $1,000,000 |
Core also includes credit monitoring at 2 bureaus and a monthly 1-bureau credit report, per its plan page. It doesn’t include the higher insurance limits of Advanced and Total.
The limits come from the insurance Evidence of Coverage for events from 09/01/2026. The scam reimbursement isn’t offered to New York residents, per the checkout terms.
How to cancel LifeLock
Norton’s help center gives these steps (10/08/2026):
- Sign in to your Norton account.
- On “My Account,” select the “My Subscriptions” tab.
- Click “Cancel Subscription Renewal” or “Manage Renewal” next to your subscription.
- Next to “Plan Renewal,” click “Unsubscribe,” select a reason, and click “Next.”
- If Norton shows offers to keep you, click “No thanks, cancel my subscription,” then “Next.”
I didn’t reach the cancellation screen because no account could be opened without a card and an SSN. Canceling the renewal doesn’t delete your data. Norton’s help center says deletion is a separate step under “Privacy Options.”
Refund policy
60 days on annual plans and 14 days on monthly plans, per the checkout terms (10/08/2026). The terms say you can cancel and get a full refund within 14 days of the initial purchase for monthly subscriptions, and within 60 days of payment for annual subscriptions. I didn’t request a refund, so I can’t confirm the timing.
Other details for U.S. subscribers
What personal data they ask for — and how to delete it
Checkout asks for your email and a card, plus a phone number and part or all of your Social Security number (SSN) for monitoring. Norton’s help center says “Delete My Data” under “Privacy Options” removes all data within 30 days.
Who can sign up (U.S. only, state limits, age)
The plans checked are U.S. plans in dollars. New York and Washington residents have separate insurance documents, and New York residents don’t get scam reimbursement. I found no stated age minimum on the pages I read.
Support: channels and hours (ET)
Phone and chat, 24/7, per LifeLock’s contact page. My chat on 10/08/2026 at 1:58 p.m. ET got the refund answer in 2 minutes.
What we saw inside the account
No account was opened: the trial needs a card, and checkout asks for an SSN.
Is LifeLock worth paying for?
Pay for LifeLock if you want monitoring plus restoration help and you’ve read your plan’s insurance limits. Core’s $124.99 a year buys $25,000 in stolen-funds coverage, and Total’s $349.99 buys $1,000,000. Annual plans give you 60 days to change your mind. If you mainly want to stop new credit in your name, the FTC says a credit freeze costs nothing (consumer.ftc.gov).
The full LifeLock review covers the FTC history and what owners report, and the best identity theft protection page compares prices across services. This is not legal or financial advice.
